salam semua..

kisah ppsmi..aku agak masih samar2…klu diteruskan….alhamdulillah klu tak ..apo nak dikato…anyway..aku nak story pasal anak aku yg bersekolah di sebuah sekolah swasta agama di tempat aku ni..sekolah indah…..tapi…mungkin kerana kekurangan guru atau apa masalah aku kurang pasti…atau anak aku yang bengap…ikut kata cikgu dia anak aku kuat main….ye la tak dinafikan budak2 but i think if teachers can create a good learning environment, cara mendidik yang aku rasa boleh menarik minat anak2 ke sekolah…surely…pendidikan di sekolah tu akan jadi lebih bagus…that is my opinion tapi anak aku yg dah tahun 1 tu….masih lagi terangkak2 utk baca dalam bahasa inggeris..and talk about VOCABBBBB…u can talk to the hand…

masyaallah….vocab “0”…because….tak tahu….nak blame siapa…DON’t KNOw….blame it on the RAIn hahha….but teachers kat situ …aku dengar cerita…ajar bahasa inggeris dalam BM tau…waaaa…jgn main2…..cam ner yek ajar BI in BM….menarik tu…how the students gonna cope laaaaa…..THINK parentss…..so klu PPSMI mampus..tak ada harapanlah anak2 kita nak maju dalam BI…sedangkan BI sendiri telah dimelayukan …SO HOW????!@#$%^&*()_\

4. trainers at Perwira Affin Berhad Training center in cheras (even though i did not end up as a banker…but knowledge gain about banking matters is very useful to me - 1996)

5. miss sally yap – my manager that train me to be a good event planner, marketer, and promoter at subang parade, subang selangor (1997)

6. training manager, kak mawar, nurul asyiqin, and all senior trainers at new horizons computer learning center..thanks all for teaching me how to be a good trainer..a professional one..and the knowledge still flows till now..;) (1998-2000)

7. trainer during the PSMB TTT course…Siti Sahlah ..thanks a lot….(2007)

masih dengan isu ppsmi

salam…

beberapa hari yang lalu, di kaca tv, aku terdengar bicara Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin…TPM merangkap Menteri Pelajaran Malaysia berkata yang dia tidak akan gugurkan projek ppsmi selagi dia belum habis membuat kajian…mmmm kajian apa pun aku tak faham sebab aku rasa banyak dah kajian2 ttg ppsmi yang telah dilakukan dan pada pendapat aku ..aku masih lagi mempertahankan bahawa projek ppsmi ini wajib diteruskan memandangkan keadaan anak2 sekolah kita sekarang ni terlalu lemah dalam menguasai bahasa inggeris. 

contoh yang aku nak kemukakan benar2 terjadi di sekolah anak2 aku…i think i dont have to mention where … let it stay the way it is..sekolah tu kekurangan guru untuk mengajar bahasa inggeris..so cikgu yang ada .. yg boleh berbahasa inggeris sikit2 .. telah di perintahkan untuk mengajar bahasa inggeris..so u know how is the situation laaaaa….

Guru Besar pulak telah melakukan banyak interview dgn graduan2 dari pelbagai jenis IPTA dan IPTS…and the result…so SADDDDDDDDDDDDD….from that pile of resumes interviewed, less than 5 …i repeat less than 5 that can speak and understand the question plus…itu pun tak tepat jugak..berterabur..but at least they tried their best..and another interesting fact…kebanyakkannya nak ajar bahasa malaysia..of course sebab bahasa ibunda…so apa citer babe…

maka sebab itulah…aku rasa ppsmi patut dikekalkan…aku tak tau apa org lain nak cakap but to me it is a good course..teachers of course kena work double triple harder than usual..tapi itu semua untuk benefit kita sendiri…so ada betul…

sedihnya bergelar graduan yang kurang mampu berbahasa inggeris…aku tau…ianya tak mudah tetapi di mana ada kemahuan..di situ ada jalan…

ok bab tu…semalam ..dalam akhbar sinar harian…aku terbaca pulak kisah sasterawan negara kita yang sanggup gugurkan title yang mereka ada kerana nak memertabatkan bahasa melayu dan against ppsmi…haiiiiii

sedih sekali lagi..hukan apa…sekali lagi pendapat aku tak salah…dulu mak dan bapak aku pun belajar dalam bahasa inggeris..and till now..cucu dia proud …coz they  can speak english better than the grand children…so…macam mana ni????

fikir-fikirkan lah wahai rakyat malaysia…anda mahukan anak2 anda maju dalam pelajaran dan kehidupan…mempunyai kredibiliti yang tinggi dan mampu menjawat jawatan yang tinggi….think …

pesta komputer & ICt di mesra mall

well…starting 30/4 hingga 2 mei ada pesta komputer & ict dekat mesra mall kerteh…aku berpeluang ke sana pada hari pertama dan kedua..sambutan hari pertama..ok ok je mungkin sebab baru first day and hari bekerja pulak..antara vendaor yg pernah aku jalinkan hubungan perniagaan yg turut serta adalah Vast It , MY10 dan Comp Asia…basically org2 ni dari kuantan..aku kenal lah dua tiga orang yg ada di booth tu…

so hari ni hari kedua…aku pegi sekali lagi ke mesra mall..actually nak pi popular bookstore .. nak beli some books and stationery.. passes by the computer booths…the crowd was ok ..blhh la…

aku jadi terpempan sekejap…aku lihat orang2 melayu mengerumuni booth orang2 cina..ye tak di nafikan mmg booth cina ni banyak barang..dan dalam pesta tu tak ada satu booth dari orang melayu..pekerja melayu usah cakaplan melambak…apa yang aku kesalkan…..

baca ni..sketsa org melayu masuk ke kedai cina..

“pekedai cina: aloo boss … morning..apa mau? blh saya tolong aaa?

pembeli melayu: aloo taukeh…morning..morning…saya mau beli set komputer laaa…ada ka yang ok punya?

pekedai cina:  ada boss…mali mali saya tunjuk sama u..kita sikalang ada offer..baguih punya..sini mari kasi tengok katalog..

pembeli melayu: ok ok mana…wahhhh bagus aaa…ini harga fixed ka..tak boleh kurang sikit..

pekedai cina:  aiyoo..barang baik bosss…sini sulah kasi banyak flee (free) give (gift) oo…tak pa la sikit kulang boleh kasi…

[padahal..harga yang dia bagi tu dia dah markup giler banyak sebab dia dapat harga yang murah since dia ambik barang dari China & Taiwan]

pembeli melayu:  ok berapa taukeh boleh kasi? 2000 boleh ka?

pekedai cina: aiyaaaaa .. jangan itu macam la bos..saya aa ini barang tak ambik untung manyak wooo…kita mau jual murah2 ..tak mau simpan stok ma…ok ok la cincai kasi sama u haa 2270..boleh ka?

pembeli melayu: aiyaa…taukeh 2250 lah…saya sudah lama kenal sama taukeh…boleh laaa

pekedai cina:  aiyooo boss tak bole laaa….itu 20 mau buat minum2 maaa….2270 haa

pembeli melayu: ok ok la…nah deposit bila boleh barang?

pekedai cina:  sikalang bikin…bos mau pi yalan2 dulu…nnt siapa saya telefon kasi u..ok

pembeli melayu: ok ok..

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa……itu dia ..aku tak reka tapi benar2 kejadian depan mata aku bukan sehari malah setiap hari…berbeza pulak dgn pekedai melayu…

teliti cerita ini..kisah ni betul2 berlaku dia kedai aku..

pekedai melayu(aku le):  ya cik, assalammualaikum, cari apa..

pembeli melayu:  waalaikumsalam, saya nak cari modem sekali ngan wireless ada tak..[cik ni dtg dgn kawan dia]

pekedai melayu:  ada…actually kita ada modem+ router, router + wireless, wireless (ap) sahaja dan modem+router+wireless..boleh saya tahu cik dah ada modem kan?

pembeli melayu:  ye ye saya dah ada modem..dapat masa daftar streamyx..tpi saya nak wireless kannya…

pekedai melayu:  oo then cik ambik router + wireless la..ni dia dah harga sini 199, saya boleh kasi 180…

pembeli melayu: mm…tgk jap…[sambil bercakap2 dgn kawan dia…kebetulan aku terdengar..ini katanya…”mm mahalnya..kalau kat low yat aku leh dapat 150 ke 160 tau..giler ahh untung]

tak apa la … terima kasih…

pekedai melayu:  ok terima kasih…[walaupun sedih tapi itu la hakikatnya]

mmm macam mana…aku di sini nak compare low yat..aku ambik atas supplier yang mmg dah dasarnya mark up dgn harganya…and yet…org lagi nak compare sesuatu yang sudah diketahui..klu aku ni anak org kaya yang boleh ambik barang kat china or taiwan..aku pun leh kasi 150 kat lu beb…so siapa tolong siapa? siapa menindas siapa? siapa memba*****kan bangsa sendiri…

wow awesome….yesterday… after so many days wanted to watch backyard science..yesterday is just the day.. i managed to watch few episodes and really learn new things about science

actually….only now i notice that science is actually very interesting if u know how to put it together and know why the situation takes place…

for instance..why cornstarch mixed with water..it becomes solid when u  squeeze but when u let go it become liquid…????!&@#)@%%$^^& hmmm….think ! think !

and also there are so many info's and new experiments for the teacher to explore to make the class fun ….

come on teachers let’s turn the class into a boot camp…full of knowledge…y not…

tadi ..petang tadi saya ada terbaca satu comment dalam blog penganalisis minda putra_af…saya tak baca sepenuhnya tapi ada sesuatu yang tertarik menarik da bomb kat comment made by odeen..

actually dia manjawab dari satu comment lain yg saya rasa ada betulnya..this MR X ( i cant remember the name..sorry) says that kita perlu belajar english so that bila kita habis belajar, kuar bekerja or further studies overseas..kita mmg perlukan english as in written or spoken…AGREEDDDD…

but this guy odeen he said…dr sheikh muzaffar dulu belajar math and science dalam bahasa malaysia..tapi boleh je berjaya sampai jadi angkasawan..HELLLLOOOOO

why must u compare with the astronaut….dah kaji latarbelakang dia ke??? u damn well know that he comes from family yg dah mmg speaks english..klu dia belajar dalam BM pun tak jadi problem…isu nya sekarang kita nak didik anak bangsa kita yg tak tahu.or susah nak converse in english..yg mak ayah tak speaks english all the time…

this is my opinion because i think if u want to compare anything with a person..cari la org yang betul2 layak utk di compare macam adik Nik Madiah ke Madiha yang dapat 20A dalam SPM tahun lepas..she came from a family in Kelantan, ayah nelayan, speaks 100% BM in Kelantanese dialek..yet she scores A1 in English, A1 in Math, and A1 in Science…so her math and science in English tau..so macam mana sekarang…i still think that PPSMI is good…;)

why i have to face this alone

mmm…salam to all…

i was having lunch that afternoon…the discussion topic was “ it is not easy to be a businessman or woman”…somehow i agree to the topic but i think if given proper support and courage…i believe it can be done successfully.

then one of the member speaks..he said…business are meant for people who do not have work and do nothing…when i told him that he must help me do some marketing meetings with people…i feel like one tight slap landed on my face…

mmm…i realize that to be in business..you have to do it on your own and help will only come once u have successfully gain a contract or project…;(

sad…i did not say a word after he said that and i slowly told him..fine if that is his opinion..then i shall do it myself and i will try till i succeed…(geram ni)

at one point … i do want to go back to working life…because am sick and tired of people around me..BUT…….

LU PIKIRLA SENDIRI….. i think it;s a bit too late…who on earth wants me …an old junk to work for them…BUT

syukur alhamdulillah … GOD still give me time, chances and opportunity to prove to everyone that i can do it…and may it stays like that…amin

is PPSMI that bad? i questioned myself …. mmmm i think it is NOT in fact i think it is very good because when i start schooling, that was in 1978, not to say that my school uses English as a medium of speech but, overall… every single subject uses English and even all the teachers are conversing in English…without fail…termasuk melayu pun…my school SRK Marian Convent, Ipoh…not a big school … small but resourceful..I remember all my teachers are using English all the time and that makes every single student wants to converse in English..because we are not shy even though it is broken English..

and as i grew up, my opinion is when u study or learn any material in English.. it is much more easier to understand because it is straight forward…don’t u think so? so what says all the teachers..ok tak bahasa inggeris..ok kan….fikir2kan

hi everyone...february is about to leave...march is peeping at the entrance door....meanwhile school kids and teachers are looking fwd for march since there is a precious break in the middle of the month....;)...

yesssss school holiday...great time to ease and release stress and tension..;)...so to release a bit of tightness in head...NSC Kidz in collaboration with SRIP and ACtivemind Kids...will hold a one day program called " SCIENCE AND ENGLISH ENRICHMENT WORKSHOP"..

This event will take place at Sekolah Rendah Islam Pintar Paka, on 17th and 18th of March 2009...that means there are two separate session to give time and space for parents to choose the best day for their kids to attend...

it is open for kids from 7 years old to 12 years old...just a day...and your day will be filled with fun pack activity and not forgetting ... goodies too.... so hurry up register today...since unlimited seats (50 seats per session)...

Petikan dari Berita Harian

KUALA LUMPUR: Gabungan Persatuan Penulis Nasional Malaysia (Gapena) semalam membuat laporan polis berikutan kegagalan kerajaan membatalkan Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Sains dan Matematik dalam Bahasa Inggeris (PPSMI) sebelum 2009. 

Ketua Polis Daerah Brickfields, Asisten Komisioner Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid, berkata laporan dibuat Ketua I Gapena, Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Ismail Hussein, jam 12.30 tengah hari. 

“Antara lain, laporan itu mendakwa pelaksanaan PPSMI tidak sah mengikut undang-undang dan bertentangan Seksyen 17(1), Akta Pendidikan 1996 dan secara jelas mencabul Fasal 152, Perlembagaan Persekutuan yang memaktubkan Bahasa Melayu sebagai Bahasa Kebangsaan.

“Polis sudah meneliti laporan itu, selain akan merujuk ke Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Dang Wangi kerana kes berada dalam kawasan itu,” katanya.

belek surat khabar semlam dan dengar berita malamnya....sad...i think government is going to swipe away ppsmi...because from the facts in the papers that i read..abt 2/3 of the people sitting for major exams uses bahasa malaysia instead of english...sad....

a few questions winding up my mind....is it difficult to learn in english? or is it difficult to understand in english? or are the pupils refrained themselves from learning and speaking in english? or are the teachers refused to learn and take up the challenge of teaching the subjects in english?  mmmmmm

who is going to answer that?  practically i macam ada answer but dare not say in the blog because afterwards..salah cakap....i kena ISA lak hahahaha.....so better i keep it to myself and open this for discussion....common internet readers and those who care about our nations....give ur thoughts mana tau...leh buat something with it....

today's topic....learning is fun or sick.....siapa nak jawab...my son this year Tahun 1 ...as usual he is ok with school because he starts education at 4..so tak kisah sgt ...tapi bab belajar...looking at him ...learning and struggling to get to know how to say words..in 3 different languages...arab, bm and bi...writing and spelling it...wow...tough one...kesian....

but education nowadays....more hectic and tiring then those days...though it;s not fun also but the curiculum is much simpler and organised...compare to today... i think sometimes...ridiculous for  a 6 or 7 year old boy or girl to know the material...hmmm...what say u? mmmm think about it

i know ...this issue has been going around for like....i would say after the project ends....wow...and till this time 11:51pm...am still waiting for any possible news abt this payment issue....mmmm....i really have no idea...i do not know ..once n for all i say this i do not know where the money is...where it stuck and in whose hand....
....
last thing i know the money is stuck at MIMOS....so like everyone knows... we are only managing the project ... money matters...other party handle this...n alhamdulillah...feedback from excellent trainers i got fanstastic... but that doesn't mean i have to be responsible for whatever catastrophe that u all created...because our mail is pretty simple...we do not know when the pymt is gonna paid and hope everyone will understand the situation...

not to say we let it off our hands no....we still here to listen, accept and do wht ever we can...but not involved in any chaos created....simply....

i know it is hard but the power is not with me....please have some sense of understanding

happy teaching to all teachers...welcome back to school...i know after a long break...teachers will sigh, greening after 1 solid month of holiday....well that's the nature...ur lucky though...not like us...public holiday also we have to work...heheh
